2. Shaheed Minar is the symbol of our love and sincerity for supreme sacrifice of our language martyrs. It is located in front of Dhaka medical college. Hamidur Rahman, a famous architect designs this significant monument. It’s vertical line symbolize the manifestation of inner strength. The four columns on both side of the central structure reflect the balance and harmony of united stand. Today it has become our political as well as cultural achievement and national source of inspiration.
অনুবাদঃ শহীদ মিনার আমাদের ভাষা শহীদের আত্মত্যাগের প্রতি ভালোবাসা ও শ্রদ্ধার প্রতীক। এটি ঢাকা মেডিকেল কলেজ এর সামনে অবস্থিত। হামিদুর রহমান একজন বিখ্যাত স্থাপত্যশিল্পি এই সৌধের নকশাকারক। এটির উল্লম্ব রেখা গুলো আমাদের অভ্যন্তরীণ শক্তির প্রতীক। উভয় পাশের চারটি স্তম্ভ আমাদের একতা ও মেলবন্ধনের প্রতীক। আজকের দিনে এটি আমাদের রাজনৈতিক ও সাংস্কৃতিক অর্জন ও জাতীয় অনুপ্রেরণার উৎসে পরিণত হয়েছে।
3. Punctuality is to be cultivated and formed into habit. This quality is to be acquired through all over boyhood. Boyhood is the seed time. The habit formed at this time will continue all through our life. Everything at the right time should be our motto.

4. A good teacher is one of the most important people in any country. Bangladesh needs good teachers. A good teacher make lessons interesting. He discovers the treasure hidden inside each student.
অনুবাদঃ একজন ভালো শিক্ষক একটি দেশের জন্য একজন গুরুত্বপূর্ণ শিক্ষক। বাংলাদেশের ভালো শিক্ষক প্রয়োজন । একজন ভালো শিক্ষক পাঠ্য বিষয় গুলোকে আকর্ষণীয় করে তোলে। সে শিক্ষার্থীর অভ্যন্তরের গুপ্তধনকে আবিষ্কার করেন।
5. Man can not live alone. So, he likes to keep company. He can not do without the helps of others even for a day. For reason men have been living together for many days. This is called social life. None can go according to the sweet will in society.
অনুবাদঃ মানুষ একা বেচে থাকতে পারে না। তাই সে সঙ্গী পছন্দ করে। সে অপরের সাহায্য ছাড়া একটি দিনও চলতে পারে না। এই কারণে মানুষ একসাথে বহু বছর ধরে জীবন নির্বাহ করছে। এটাকেই সামাজিক জীবন বলে। সমাজে নিজের আত্মতুষ্টি নিয়ে কেউ চলতে পারবে না ।
6. We should bear the courage to say the right thing. We need no fear and nor care for what others think of us. So long as our purpose is honest. God will be on our side. And with the help we shall be able to encourage the weak. Thus we shall be able to march in life and search it’s goal.
অনুবাদঃ আমাদের সঠিক জিনিস টি বলবার সাহস থাকা উচিত। অন্যরা কে কি ভাবছে সেটা চিন্তা করে ভয় পাবার কোন প্রয়োজন নেই। যতক্ষণ না পর্যন্ত আমাদের উদ্দেশ্য সৎ। ঈশ্বর সব সময় আমাদের পক্ষেই থাকবেন। তবেই আমরা জীবনে এগিয়ে যেতে পারব এবং এর উদ্দেশ্য খুজে বের করতে পারব।
7. Family is the first school where the child learns his lessons. The first lessons are very essential for developing his mind. He sees, hears and began to learn in his family. Family builds his character. In a good family, honest and healthy men are made.
অনুবাদঃ পরিবার একটি শিশুর জন্য প্রথম বিদ্যালয় যেখানে সে তার পাঠ শিখে। প্রথম পাঠ টি খুব গুরুত্বপূর্ণ তার মানসিক দিকটির উন্নতি সাধনের জন্য। সে দেখে, শোনে এবং তার পরিবার থেকেই শিখা আরম্ভ করে। পরিবার তার চরিত্র গঠন করে। একটি ভালো পরিবার থেকে সৎ ও স্বাস্থ্যবান মানুষ তৈরী হয়।
8. noble virtue.it Patriotism is a noble virtue. It means love for one’s country. A person who loves his/her country more than anything is called a true patriot. Patriotism inspires a man in do everything just and fair for the wellbeing and betterment of the country. It’s the valuable quality that inspires a man to sacrifice his own interest, comfort, pleasure and his/her life for the sake of the country. To a true patriot mother and motherland are the same.

9. Bangladesh is now a free country. She suffered much during the last twenty five years. But for her the days of suffering are over. She is going to enter into the age of great prosperity. This golden land of Bangladesh will again be flowing with milk and honey.
অনুবাদঃ বাংলাদেশ এখন একটি মুক্ত দেশ। সে সর্বশেষ পচিঁশ বছর সবথেকে কষ্ট ভোগ করেছে। এখন তার জন্য কষ্টের দিন গুলো শেষ। সে এখন একটি উন্নতির সময়ে পদার্পন করতে চলেছে। বাংলাদেশের সোনালী মাটি আবার দুধ ও মধু দিয়ে ভরে উঠবে।
10. We are social being and have to consider the effect of our behavior on others. There is two type to describe our social behavior – “Etiquette and manners”. Etiquette means the rules of correct behavior in society. The word ‘manner’ means the behavior to be polite in particular society or culture. No-one likes the bad mannered person.

11. A patriot is a man who loves his country, works for it, willing to fight and die for it. Every soldier is bound to do his duty, but the best soldier do more than this. They risks their life because the love their country. They are the best friends of the people.

12. Walking is the best suited to all kinds of health. Both the young and the old man can walk and help their bodies make active as long as they live. On the other hand, gymnastic exercise are best suited to young people only. However, today most doctors advise some patients, suffering from particular diseases for jogging.

13. Many people put off tomorrow the work they can do today. Students also very often puts off their class lessons for tomorrow. Nothing is very injurious than this habit. This is why it is wise to value present moments to make our meaningful. A lot of troubles and dangers may come and upset everything. So, we must not neglect our time the flowing capital.
অনুবাদঃ অনেক মানুষ আছে যারা আগামীকালকের জন্য কাজ তুলে রাখে যেটা আজই করা যেত। ছাত্ররাও অনেক সময় তাদের ক্লাসের পাঠ আগামীদিনের জন্য তুলে রাখে দেয়। এর অভ্যাসের থেকে অন্য কোন কিছুই খারাপ হতে পারে না। এই জন্য বুদ্ধিমানের কাজ এখানেই যে আমাদের বর্তমান সময়কে গুরুত্বদিয়ে তাকে অর্থবহ করে তোলা। অনেক ধরণের বিপত্তি এবং ভয়ানক সময় আসতে পারে যা সবকিছুকে হতাশায় পরিণত করতে পারে। তাই আমাদের কখনোই সময়কে উপেক্ষা করা উচিত নয় ।
14. Bangladesh is the land of our birth. The blue sky and the air is very dear to us. It is our duty to build up our dear Bangladesh. It is our sacred duty. If we do our respective duties, only then our country will make progress.

15. The life of a student is the life of preparation for struggle in the life. To make him well fitted for the struggle, education is necessary. Students of today will lead the society tomorrow. If their education is not completed they will not be able to lead the country to peace and prosperity.
অনুবাদঃ একজন শিক্ষার্থীর জীবন হচ্ছে সারাজীবন সংঘর্ষের জন্য প্রস্তুত হবার জীবন। তাকে সংঘর্ষের জন্য তৈরী করতে হলে শিক্ষা খুব গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। আজকের ছাত্ররাই আগামীদিনের সমাজকে নেতৃত্ব দিবে। যদি তাদের শিক্ষা পূর্ণ না হয় তবে তারা এ দেশ কে শান্তি ও সমৃদ্ধির পথে এগিয়ে নিয়ে যেতে সমর্থ হবে না।

17. The aim of education is to make a man fully fit for himself and the society. It means to develop the whole man who consists of body, mind and soul. It is education which aims at providing a child with opportunities so that it can bring to light its all latent qualities. An educated man should be gentle, thoughtful, creative, kind, respectful, sympathetic and co-operative. If education offers no spiritual body, it has no value.

18. The great advantage of early rising is the good start it gives in our day’s work. The early riser has done huge quantity of hard work before other men have go out of bed. In early morning the mind is fresh and there are fewer disturbances. So the work done at the time is generally well done. By beginning so early, he knows that he has plenty of time to do all the work thoroughly. He is not, therefore, tempted to hurry over any part of it.
