A notification for the Application for primary teacher recruitment of 10,219 more assistant teachers in government primary schools has already been published. Interested candidates can apply from Saturday (November 8), which will continue until November 21. This information was given in the notification published last Wednesday (November 5).
It is mentioned that in the first phase, recruitment will be made against vacant posts in Rajshahi, Rangpur, Sylhet, Khulna, Barisal and Mymensingh divisions. After that, recruitment notices will be published for Dhaka and Chittagong divisions.
Interested candidates should apply online by following the instructions on Teletalk’s website (http://dpe.teletalk.com.bd).
According to the published notification the candidates must have a Bachelor’s or Bachelor’s (Honours) degree or equivalent with a minimum second class or equivalent CGPA (minimum 2.25 on a 4-point scale and minimum 2.8 on a 5-point scale) from a recognized University.
According to the new rules, the post of assistant teacher will be appointed through written and oral examinations. The written examination will be in four subjects. They are – Bengali, English, Mathematics and Daily Science, General Knowledge (Bangladesh and International Affairs). A total of 90 marks will be tested in these four subjects.
A written test of 25 marks each in Bengali and English for a total of 50 marks and 20 marks each in Mathematics and Daily Science and General Knowledge (Bangladesh and International Affairs) for a total of 40 marks will be taken. Selected candidates from among those who pass the written exam will be given the opportunity to take the oral exam. The oral exam will be of 10 marks.
Meanwhile, the pass mark (50 percent of the total marks) in the 90-mark written exam will be 45 marks. And the pass mark (50 percent out of 10) in the oral exam will be 5 marks. The time allotted for the written exam will be 90 minutes. There is no time limit for the oral exam.
